October was Dyslexia Awareness Month. Talks, meetings, and comments poured in. Even US President Donald Trump issued a positive statement endorsing Dyslexia Awareness Month. But have we really made progress in fighting this condition? Furthermore, is there any present-day remedy to help those who are dyslexic?

My friend Karen has been in the publishing business for years. She’s a TOP manager in a major company. Although this position might be still quite rewarding, she keeps arguing that her job has been extremely challenging, especially within the past 3 years. My wife and I are always arguing about how to entertain our child. I claim there’s nothing better than a good movie. What’s more satisfying than watching “King Arthur” or the new “Alien” movie with a tub of popcorn, anyway? At the same time, while reading so many books, I would nearly fall asleep. My wife argues back there’s nothing good in movies. They slow your brain down, make your language and cognition processes poorer.

This brought me to the pros and cons of books and movies. I’ve searched for some opinions on the web, so here are the points that I consider important.
